What is Shram Events?
SEM was created by Sarah Cornelius-Price CEO of The Joshua Foundation and more importantly Joshua’s Mother in March 2009. SEM committed to adopt The Joshua Foundation for all its projects and also in 2010 took over the administration of the Oz/USA Experience.
Sarah originally created The Oz Experience in 2001 to benefit many young adults with an expedition of a lifetime. As well as changing their lives, it has changed many lives of children with terminal cancer and has sustained our motto of “live 4 2day”.
SEM created a new project called “The USA Experience" in 2009 and gifted the concept to The Joshua Foundation. This project has been specifically designed at SEM due to the sheer interest the “Oz Experience” has created, but reflects the difficult economic times that have faced the charitable sector.
This project allows for a similar trip of a lifetime expedition but requires participants to raise less funds. The first expedition to the USA will commence in 2011 and students will have the option to fundraise for either the OZ or USA Experience.
SEM affectedly “adopts” The Joshua Foundation in every project they do or create. The charity is very close to all our hearts and we will do all that we can to help provide life changing experiences and opportunities for children with terminal cancer.
